Hesperia Woman Dies in Hesperia Bicycle Collision on Cottonwood Avenue and Yucca Street
Hesperia, California (July 28, 2021) – A 67-year-old woman was struck and killed by a vehicle on Tuesday afternoon in Hesperia, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.
The crash happened on Cottonwood Avenue and Yucca Street at around 12:05 p.m. July 27.
According to the report, a Hesperia woman was riding a bike northbound on Cottonwood Avenue when she suddenly made a left turn and was broadsided by a northbound 1997 Chevrolet box truck driven by a 20-year-old Victorville man.

The rider, whose name was not immediately released, died in the accident.
It’s unclear whether anyone else was injured in the accident.
The crash caused a closure of the intersection for a while as authorities worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
