San Diego, California (May 3, 2019) – An 88-year-old motorist was critically injured in a traffic collision Thursday afternoon in the area of San Diego, according to a local news source.

The crash happened at about 12:05 p.m. Thursday, May 2, at Tambor Road and Tierrasanta Boulevard.

As per the report, the elderly was driving a 2008 Toyota sedan at the intersection when the driver stopped for a stop sign at Tambor Road and drove into Tierrasanta Boulevard. As the Toyota was trying to make the turn, it was hit by a westbound Lincoln Navigator.

Elderly Gravely Hurt in Crash at Tambor Road and Tierrasanta Boulevard

The elderly driver suffered severe injuries as a result of the crash. The patient was rushed to a hospital where he was listed in critical condition.

A 2-year-old boy in the Lincoln suffered a minor cut due to the collision. It remained unclear if the 33-year-old mother driving the Lincoln was injured in the collision.
