Woman Dies in Hillcrest Pedestrian Collision near West University Avenue and Front Street
San Diego, California (June 9, 2019) – A woman was killed in an accident where she was struck by on-duty San Diego police vehicles late Saturday night in Hillcrest, according to the authorities.
The incident happened at about 11 p.m. June 8, near West University Avenue and Front Street.
Police said the officers were responding to a burglary in progress when the patrol cars struck a pedestrian who stepped into the roadway from the curb.

The woman was transported to UC San Diego Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.
No further details were released.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
