46-Year-old Man Injured in Midway Area Scooter Crash on Rosecrans Street and Hancock Street

San Diego, California (March 4, 2019) – A 46-year-old man was hospitalized after a vehicle broadsided his scooter on Saturday night in the Midway area, as per a local news source.
The incident was reported at about 10:25 p.m. March 2, on southbound Rosecrans Street and westbound Hancock Street.
Police said the man was riding a 2016 Lance Scooter westbound on Rosecrans Street while a 51-year-old man driving a 2002 Ford pickup was northbound on the same street. The rider attempted to turn left into Hancock Street and the pickup broadsided his scooter.
The victim suffered a fracture to his leg and was taken to the hospital.
The driver of the pickup was not injured and remained at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
