San Diego Accident on El Cajon Boulevard Injures Pedestrian

San Diego, California (June 1, 2021) – An alleged hit-and-run collision that happened in San Diego early Monday morning seriously injured one person.
The pedestrian accident happened in the 6600 block of El Cajon Boulevard shortly after 1:20 a.m.
An individual was reportedly hit by a dark-colored sedan in the No.1 eastbound lane of the highway under unclear circumstances.

The pedestrian, who was outside a marked crosswalk, sustained major injuries, including an open fracture of his lower right leg. The unidentified victim was attended to by medical personnel and then was rushed to an area hospital for medication.
The involved motorist, a 49-year-old man, escaped the crash site without rendering aid to the patient.
The CHP is still gathering more evidence to locate the hit-and-run suspect.
