SDPD Officer, Suspect Hurt in Midway District Pedestrian Crash near Rosecrans Street and Midway Drive
San Antonio, California (February 28, 2019) – A San Diego Police Department officer and a vandalism suspect were hit and injured by a vehicle during an arrest early Thursday morning in Midway District.
According to the authorities, the crash happened shortly before 5 a.m. near Rosecrans Street and Midway Drive.
The authorities said the officer had the suspect pinned on the ground after a short foot chase and were both struck by a vehicle.
Both the officer and the suspect were transported to a hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries was unknown.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene.
The cause of the crash is ongoing.
