At Least 1 Injured in San Diego Chain-Reaction Accident on Interstate 8 near Interstate 805
San Diego, California (June 21, 2020) – At least one was hospitalized Sunday afternoon after a multi-vehicle crash near Mission Valley in San Diego, according to a local news source.
The chain-reaction accident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on eastbound Interstate 8 near Interstate 805 interchange.
As a result of the crash, one of the involved vehicles overturned and trapped at least one person inside.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and extricated the trapped victim. The patient was then taken to a local hospital in an unknown condition.
Police shut down several lanes of Interstate 8 for nearly 30 minustes following the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
