San Diego, CA: Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Traffic Crash on Interstate 805

San Diego, California (July 28, 2021) – A motorcyclist sustained major injuries in a Tuesday night collision that took place on a freeway in San Diego, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident occurred at around 9:10 p.m. on Interstate 805 near San Ysidro Boulevard.

Reportedly, a motorcyclist ran into a semi-truck for unknown reasons.

An off-duty border patrol officer who was at the crash scene told authorities that the rider and the motorcycle were blocking traffic lanes.

The report said the motorcyclist sustained severe injuries in the accident. Paramedics responded to the scene to help the victim.

CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
