Rider Hospitalized After San Diego Motorcycle Accident on Olde Highway 80

San Diego, California (September 24, 2019) – A 20-year-old man from El Cajon was severely injured in a motorcycle crash on Tuesday evening.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the motorcycle crash took place at around 2:00 p.m. September 24, on Olde Highway 80 in a neighborhood near Lake Jennings.
As per the CHP report, the male party was riding to the west on the Highway when a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country driven by an 89-year-old Alpine man pulled off the northern shoulder of the road directly in his path, trying to make a U-turn. The rider veered to avoid a collision with the minivan and fell off his 2013 Honda CBR 500 sport bike and tumbled onto the roadway west of Pecan Park Lane, where the Chrysler then hit him.
Rider Seriously Injured After San Diego Motorcycle Accident
The victim was rushed to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego by paramedics for treatment of life-threatening trauma.
The current condition and the name of the injured party have not yet been released to this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
