Sacramento, CA: At Least 1 Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 99 near Fruitridge Road

Sacramento, California (September 24, 2019) – At least one person was hurt in a traffic collision involving a tow truck hauling a vehicle in the area of Sacramento Tuesday morning, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

The multi-vehicle crash took place at around 10:24 a.m. September 24 on Highway 99 near Fruitridge Road.

The CHP said a tow truck, a semi-tractor trailer truck, a silver Honda and a blue pickup truck collided on the roadway for unknown reasons.

At least one person suffered a lower leg injury and had complaints of back pain after the crash.

The victim was attended to by paramedics and then rushed to Kaiser Hospital for further treatment. The name and current condition of the injured party have not yet been released to this time.

The vehicles were blocking the middle and slow lanes of the highway after the wreck.

The CHP is investigating the crash.
