Man Hospitalized after Hit-And-run Crash on Blix Street in Clairemont Mesa East

San Diego, California (September 29, 2019) – A man was hospitalized after being struck by a hit-and-run driver on Saturday morning in Clairemont Mesa East.

According to police, the crash took place at about 9 a.m. September 28, in the 7200 block of Blix Street.

Police said a woman was driving northbound on Blix Street when she struck a man and his parked vehicle. The woman was allegedly driving erratically just before the collision occurred.

Man Injured in Clairemont Mesa East Pedestrian Crash 

The victim, a 61-year-old Clairemont man, was rushed to a hospital with major injuries.

The driver of the car reportedly fled the scene after the incident but was later found and arrested.

Police said alcohol was suspected to be a factor in the crash.

The incident is under investigation.
