San Diego, California (January 16, 2019) – One person was injured after a traffic collision Monday evening in the area of San Diego, according to a local news source.
The accident happened at about 12:40 p.m. Monday, January 14, on Clairemont Drive near Chippewa Court.
As per the report, a semi-truck was making a U-turn on Clairemont Drive when a gray Hyundai SUV crashed into the truck for reasons still under investigation.
Responding firefighters found the SUV driver trapped in the crumpled SUV and was transported to a hospital for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries. The victim’s name and current condition remained unknown.
Authorities said that the truck operator was unhurt in the collision.
Officials also mentioned that roads throughout San Diego were slick due to a series of winter storms moving through the county.
