San Diego, CA: 44-Year-Old Motorcyclist Hospitalized After Marina Hit-and-Run Traffic crash at Market Street and 1st Avenue

San Diego, California (October 6, 2019) – A -44-year-old motorcyclist was hurt in an alleged hit-and-run crash in Marina early on Saturday morning.

The motorcycle accident, which was reported shortly before 2:20 a.m. October 5, occurred in the area of Market Street and 1st Avenue.

Authorities said a male party was riding a motorcycle west on Market Street when he collided with a black colored sedan that was traveling east Market Street. The initial report indicated that the driver of the involved vehicle made a left turn in front of the bike at the time of the collision.

The motorcyclist sustained a fractured wrist injury in the crash. He was attended to by paramedics and then rushed to the hospital for further treatment. The identity of the injured victim has not yet been released to this time.

The driver involved did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene

The investigation is still ongoing to locate the hit-and-run driver.
