San Diego, California (April 23, 2019) – One person was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in the area of San Diego, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.

The crash happened at around 3:55 p.m. Monday, April 22, on 5 Freeway near Old Town.

As per the report, three vehicles crashed for reasons yet to be determined.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. One party was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The number of victims and their current condition was not immediately known.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.

The vehicles were blocking the lanes following the crash. All lanes were opened as of 5:22 p.m.
