Woman In Her 30s Killed in San Clemente Pedestrian Crash on Avenida Del Presidente near Avenida De Las Palmera
San Clemente, California (January 26, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday night in San Clemente, according to a local news source.
The accident, which was reported at around 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 25, happened on Avenida Del Presidente, just north of Avenida De Las Palmera.
Authorities said the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle that was traveling northbound on Avenida Del Presidente.
It was immediately unclear if the pedestrian was walking in the bike lane or the northbound lane when she was struck.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, was declared dead at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed pending identification and notification of her relatives.
A woman in her 50s, who was the driver of the vehicle involved, remained at the scene and complied with investigators.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
