Woman Injured, Humberto Barraza Arrested after San Carlos Crash on Industrial Road and American Street
San Carlos, California (March 19, 2019) – A woman was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident that occurred last Thursday morning in San Carlos, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Department.
The incident happened at about 6:37 a.m. March 14 on Industrial Road and American Street.
Deputies said a woman in her 60s was trying to cross the street when a vehicle struck her and fled the scene.
Pedestrian Hurt in San Carlos Hit-And-Run Crash
The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Witnesses told the authorities that the vehicle involved was a lifted 2017 Ford F-250 pickup truck and also had the license plate. The authorities later found the vehicle with one occupant, identified Humberto Barraza, 41, of San Mateo.
Barraza was identified by some of the witnesses as the driver involved in the hit-and-run. He was arrested felony for hit-and-run with injury.
