San Bernardino, California (December 2, 2020) – One of the three victims who died following an alleged DUI car crash in San Bernardino late Friday night has been identified as 31-year-old Tavea Tarlton.

The fatal crash took place at around 11:47 p.m., November 28, in the area of Kendall Drive and University Parkway.

The accident happened when a Ford Mustang operated by 23-yar-old Brandon Jaquez-Perez westbound on Kendall Drive, at a high rate of speed, failed to stop for a red light.

The Ford Mustang then crashed with a Toyota Camry operated by Tarlton at the intersection of University Parkway.

Sadly, Tarlton was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Medical personnel transported four children riding in the Toyota to an area hospital for medication. Two of them, ages 2 and 4, died while undergoing treatment.

The other two, 8-year-old Dallas Tarlton and 5-year-old Khamyil Tarlton, were treated for moderate to severe injuries.

Police later arrested the Bloomington resident, Jaquez-Perez, on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

The accident remains under investigation.
