Sacramento County, California (May 16, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a Sacramento County two-vehicle collision that left one person with serious injuries Friday afternoon.

The head-on collision, involving a Ford F-450 pickup truck and silver Mazda sedan, was reported at approximately 4:45 p.m. in the area of Scott Road and White Rock Road.

Although it was not immediately established how the collision occurred at the Sacramento County intersection, one of the vehicles overturned while the sedan acquired major front-end damage and lost its front wheel.

As per the report, one unidentified person was hospitalized at the UC Davis Medical Center with moderate injuries sustained in the accident.

The crash remains under an active investigation.
