Sacramento, CA: Wrong-Way Crash on Highway 160
1 Injured in Sacramento Head-On Collision on Highway 160 near Del Paso Boulevard

Sacramento, California (June 17, 2021) – A wrong-way driver crashed head-on into another vehicle, injuring its occupant early Tuesday morning in Sacramento, authorities said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at around 4:36 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, on Highway 160 near Del Paso Boulevard.
A vehicle was heading northbound in the southbound lane of Highway 160 when it collided head-on with a white Cadillac Escalade, the CHP said.

One person in the Cadillac complained of pain to their leg and was treated at the scene by responding paramedics. It was not immediately clear if the patient was transported to the hospital for further aid.
The other driver fled the scene after the crash. There was no description of the suspect’s vehicle or driver.
The crash prompted the officers to temporarily close the southbound lanes of Highway 16o.
The accident remains under investigation.
