Sacramento, California (May 8, 2021) – One person was injured after being struck by an alleged hit-and-run motorist Tuesday evening in Sacramento, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP said the pedestrian crash happened on 49th Avenue near 42nd Street at approximately 7:10 p.m. on May 4 

Although it was not immediately established how the collision occurred, the involved motorist escaped the scene before police arrived.

Officials affirmed the unidentified pedestrian was hurt in the crash.

More information about this accident will be released after the CHP completes the investigation.
