Man Killed in Sacramento Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 5 near West El Camino Avenue Off-Ramp

Sacramento, California (February 8, 2021) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by several vehicles early Monday morning in Sacramento, according to a local news source.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the deadly accident occurred just before 4:30 a.m. on the southbound side of Interstate 5, just south of the West El Camino Avenue exit.
According to the CHP, the pedestrian, a 40-year-old Sacramento man, was running from the center median across the interstate when a pickup truck struck him.
The force of the impact caused the pedestrian to be launched into eastbound lanes and was hit by two other vehicles.
Deadly Sacramento Pedestrian Accident
The pedestrian was declared deceased at the scene. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The three involved drivers remained at the scene and were cooperative, authorities said. Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the collision.
