76-Year-Old Cyclist Killed in Sacramento Crash at Power Inn Road and Blackhawk Drive

Sacramento, California (July 4, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Saturday evening hit-and-run accident that killed a 76-year-old cyclist in Sacramento County.
The deadly bicycle accident occurred at about 5:45 pm at Power Inn Road and Blackhawk Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a dark gray Toyota Sequoia was turning right on Power Inn Road when it crashed into the 76-year-old bicyclist who was opposed to traffic in the Power Inn Bicycle Lane.

Sadly, the cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver fled the scene. The driver was last seen wearing a white mask during the crash.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
