Rider Suffers Major Injuries in Sacramento Bicycle Accident at Del Paso Road and National Drive
Sacramento, California (September 27, 2020) – A bicyclist sustained serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle Saturday afternoon at an intersection in Sacramento, according to a local news source.
The major-injury bicycle collision was reported to the California Highway Patrol officers at about 1:43 p.m. Saturday, September 26, at the intersection of Del Paso Road and National Drive.
According to the CHP, the bicyclist was struck by a vehicle for an undetermined reason at the Sacramento intersection.
Bicyclist Seriously Injured after Being Hit by Vehicle in Sacramento
First responders arrived at the scene and found the bicyclist suffering from major injuries following the crash. The rider was then taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver involved remained at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
