Oceanside, CA: Teenager Critically Injured in DUI Crash on North River Road
17-Year-Old Driver Seriously Injured in Oceanside Car Accident on North River Road; Jose Orozco Arrested

Oceanside, California (September 27, 2020) – A teenager was critically injured Friday night in an alleged DUI crash in Oceanside, according to police.
The accident occurred at around 9:30 p.m. Friday, September 25, on North River Road.
According to the police, Jose Orozco, 33, of Vista, was driving was driving a Ford F150 on North River Road when, for an unknown reason, he allowed the vehicle to drift into the opposite lane, where it collided with a Toyota 4Runner, driven by a 17-year-old boy.
The teenager was ejected from his vehicle upon the impact. The Ford truck veered off the road and into a dirt field as a result of the crash.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and found the teenager unconscious. The patient was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition.
Orozco was arrested for suspected felony driving under the influence with injury.
The accident remains under investigation.
