Sacramento, California (April 11, 2021)  A traffic collision involving a truck in Sacramento Saturday night sent two people to the hospital.

The car accident happened along Highway 50 near Stockton Boulevard shortly before 8:30 p.m.

As per the dispatch, the mishap began when a Prius came to a stop behind a truck that stalled out in the No. 4 lane of westbound Highway 50

An SUV then crashed with the automobiles after it failed to stop.

Major Injury Sacramento Car Crash

Two unidentified persons sustained injuries and were transported to an area hospital for medication. One of the patients was treated for critical injuries, while the other one survived moderate injuries.

The crash resulted in the closure of all lanes of westbound Highway 50 for more than half an hour as investigation and clean-up took place.
