Sacramento, California (May 3, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of an alleged hit-and-run accident that occurred at an intersection in Sacramento Saturday evening.

The CHP responded to the crash site just about 7:30 p.m. in the area of Lippi Parkway and Goes Parkway.

The circumstance that led to the collision of two sedans at the Sacramento intersection were not immediately established at the report time.

As per the dispatch, the crash left at least one person with unspecified injuries.

Officials said one of the involved motorists escaped the scene before they arrived.

The crash resulted in the closure of the intersection for an unknown time.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
