Roy Hernandez ID’d as Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Car on West Lodi Avenue

Lodi, California (February 4, 2020) – The San Joaquin County Coroner’s Office has identified the pedestrian who was fatally hit by a vehicle on Sunday evening in Lodi.
Roy Hernandez, 59, of Lodi died in the fatal crash that happened in the 800 block of West Lodi Avenue at around 6:10 p.m. Sunday, February 2.
As per the report, a vehicle struck Hernandez on the roadway for reasons still under investigation.

Hernandez was declared dead at the crash site.
Officials confirmed that the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with officials.
It was not immediately known if drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision.
The roadway was closed briefly after the accident.
An investigation is ongoing.
