San Diego, California (May 25, 2021) – The motorcyclist who was killed Thursday afternoon in a collision with a car in San Diego has been identified by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office as Ronnie Edward Rogers, 75, of San Diego.

The deadly crash happened at around 2:09 p.m. Thursday, May 20, on the northbound Interstate 15 connector ramp to westbound Interstate 8.

Authorities said Rogers was riding a motorcycle on the Interstate 8 westbound on-ramp when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the bike and collided with a sedan.

Rogers then crashed into a guard rail.

Deadly Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 15 in San Diego

Rogers was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
