Ronald Swaim Killed in Car Crash on State Route 79 in Santa Ysabel
Ronald Swaim ID’d as Victim in Fatal Santa Ysabel Crash on State Route 79 near State Route 76
Santa Ysabel, California (December 16, 2020) – Authorities have identified the man who died in a single-vehicle traffic accident earlier this month in Santa Ysabel as Ronald Louis Swaim, 87, of Warner Springs.
The deadly crash happened at around 4:25 p.m. Saturday, December 2, on State Route 79, just north of State Route 76.
Authorities said Swaim was driving his pickup truck northbound on State Route 79 when, for unknown reasons, the truck turn left and crashed into a tree on the west shoulder of the road.
Swaim was declared dead at the scene at about 4:38 p.m.
Further details about the accident were not immediately provided.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
