Officer Injured in Rohnert Park Car Accident on Redwood Drive

Rohnert Park, California (March 29, 2019) – A female officer was transported to a hospital after being involved in Traffic collision in Rohnert Park on Wednesday evening.
The two-vehicle collision, which was reported at around 6:25 p.m. March 27, occurred at 4825 Redwood Drive.
The authorities said a 38-year-old man driving a gray Toyota car struck a patrol car driven by a female officer in the parking lot of The Home Depot after a pursuit by officers.
The chase began when the driver failed to yield to an officer who initiated a traffic stop. The driver of the Toyota was later identified as Peter Sullivan, 38, of Rohnert Park.
Officer Injured in Rohnert Park Crash
The collision resulted in minor injuries to the officer. She was transported to the hospital for evaluation and medication.
Sullivan was not injured in the accident but was arrested and charged with being in possession of illegal narcotics and paraphernalia which were found on him and his vehicle at the time of his arrest. He was also charged with reckless driving, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The two involved vehicles sustained major damage following the accident.
