Rodney McClinton Killed in Car Accident on Paseo Del Mar in San Pedro
San Pedro, California (December 28, 2020) – A 55-year-old San Fernando man died after his vehicle crashed down a cliff in San Pedro early Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 2 a.m. at 2002 W. Paseo Del Mar.
Los Angeles Fire Department said Rodney McClinton, of Canoga Park, was driving a car near White Point when he rolled down a cliff for unknown reasons and landed in the ocean below.
Firefighters responded and found McClinton inside his vehicle.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A cursory search of the area yielded no other victims
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
