1 Killed in Lincoln Car Crash at Athens Avenue and Foothills Boulevard in Lincoln
Lincoln, California (December 28, 2020) – One person was killed in a head-on collision in Lincoln, Placer County, on Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened at the intersection of Athens Avenue and N. Foothills Boulevard at about 11:30 a.m.
An SUV was traveling on the roadway when it drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a utility truck hauling a trailer.
The SUV driver was killed in the accident. The identity of the deceased was not immediately disclosed.
The truck driver sustained minor injuries in the accident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Drivers were advised to avoid the area.
