Roberto Heredia ID’d as Man Killed in El Monte Pedestrian Accident on Durfee Avenue
El Monte, California (January 8, 2021) – Authorities have identified the man who was struck and killed by a vehicle Thursday evening in El Monte as Roberto Heredia, 56, of El Monte.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened just before 5:30 p.m. Thursday, January 7, in the 2500 block of Durfee Avenue.
According to the authorities, Heredia was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk when he was hit by a Toyota RAV4 that was traveling northbound on Durfee Avenue.

Heredia died in the accident.
The driver of the Toyota stopped at the scene and was cooperative, authorities said. No arrest was made.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
