Robert Fletcher and Ryan Lima Jr. Seriously Injured in Salida Crash at Beckwith Road and North Dakota Avenue
Salida, California (January 3, 2018) – Two men were seriously injured early Wednesday morning in a traffic crash at a Salida intersection, according to a local news source.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place at around 3:50 a.m. Wednesday, January 2 at the intersection of Beckwith Road and North Dakota Avenue.
The CHP said the two men were traveling in a Chevrolet Suburban when their vehicle broadsided a tractor-trailer rig that was heading eastbound on Beckwith. The Suburban stuck beneath the trailer as a result of the collision.
Robert Fletcher, 25, of Modesto, who was the driver of the Chevrolet, sustained major injuries and was transported to Doctors Medical Center while his passenger, Ryan Lima Jr., 20, of Salida, was also transported to Memorial Medical Center with serious injuries. Their conditions were not immediately disclosed.
Alcohol or drugs were not suspected factors in the crash. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
