Bicyclist Killed in Laguna Niguel Traffic Crash ID’d as Robert Calvin
Laguna Niguel, California (March 18, 2020) – 83-year-old Robert Calvin, of Laguna Niguel, has been identified as the male bicyclist who died following a traffic collision that happened in the area of Laguna Niguel March 5, according to the Orange County Sheriff-Coroner.
The fatal bicycle accident occurred at the intersection of Alicia Parkway and Awma Road, near the entrance to Alisa Woods Canyon Park at about 9:55 a.m.
As per the report, Calvin was struck by an SUV while riding his bicycle at the intersection.
The manner in which the collision occurred was not immediately disclosed at the time of the report.

Calvin was transported to Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, where he died about 50 minutes later.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the cause of the fatal accident.
