At Least 1 Killed in Inyokern Crash on Highway 178 near Brown Road
Inyokern, California (March 19, 2020) – One person was killed in a crash involving a big rig on Wednesday morning in Inyokern, according to the CHP.
The wreck happened on Highway 178 near Brown Road on Wednesday, March 18.
According to the report, a sedan and a fuel tanker were involved in the crash. The sedan became wedged underneath the big rig after the collision. The tanker caught fire following the impact and it was extinguished by firefighters.
At Least 1 Killed in Inyokern Car Crash
At least one person died as a result of the accident. Details on the identity of the victim were not immediately available.
The roadway was closed briefly as crews examined and cleared the scene.
The cause of the wreck is under investigation.
