Riverside Police Officer Injured in 91 Freeway Crash in Riverside
Riverside, California (September 9, 2019) – A Riverside Police Department officer was injured in a collision with a Caltrans vehicle on Saturday night in Riverside, according to a local news source.
The incident took place on the 91 Freeway near Adams Street on Saturday, September 7.
Police were responding to an incident where a woman was trying to jump off the freeway overpass. After talking the woman out of jumping, a police vehicle was involved in a crash with a Caltrans truck in the westbound lanes of the freeway.

A police officer was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash is under investigation.
