Major Injuries Sustained in Rio Linda Accident at Dry Creek Road and Elkhorn Boulevard
Rio Linda, California (February 1, 2019) – Major injuries were reported after a traffic collision Thursday night in the area of Rio Linda, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The collision happened at around 11:30 p.m. Thursday, January 31, at Dry Creek and Elkhorn Boulevard.
As per the dispatch, two vehicles collided head-on for reasons still under investigation. One of the cars overturned while the other was off to the side and was probably in a ditch following the collision.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. The number of the crash victims and their current condition was not immediately released.
Authorities closed both lanes following the accident. All roads were opened as of 11:30 p.m.
An investigation is ongoing.
