Rigoberto Salas-Torres Injured in Turlock Collision on Geer Road near Santa Fe Avenue
Turlock, California (May 16, 2021) – Rigoberto Salas-Torres, 49, of Turlock, was seriously injured in a crash involving a suspected DUI driver late Saturday night near Turlock, according to the CHP.
At around 11:50 p.m. May 15, CHP said Anibel Lopez, 31, of Turlock was driving a Honda sedan southbound on Geer Road when he drifted into the path of oncoming traffic and collided with a northbound GMC SUV that was being driven by Salas-Torres.
The accident happened just south of Santa Fe Avenue.

Salas-Torres sustained a broken femur and lacerations to his face. He was taken to Doctors Medical Center for treatment.
Lopez was also taken to the hospital with a fractured pelvis, abdominal lacerations, and a broken ankle.
CHP said Lopez was arrested on DUI charges.
The incident is under investigation.
