San Diego, California (September 26, 2019) – Rick Cessinger was injured after a hit-and-run bicycle accident Monday afternoon in San Diego, according to a local news source.

The crash happened at about 4:00 p.m. Monday, September 23, near Catalina Boulevard and Tennyson Street.

As per the CHP officials, Cessinger was cycling from Ocean Beach to his home in Mission Beach when he was struck by car near the junction. The impact ejected the rider off the bike.

First responders transported Cessinger, who was unconscious at the time to the hospital. The patient woke a day later at the hospital with a fractured collarbone, a punctured lung, six broken ribs and loss of memory.

The involved driver fled the scene after the crash.

Cessinger lost his wallet and phone following the crash.
