60-Year-Old Man Killed in Richmond Pedestrian Crash on Richmond Parkway near Pittsburg Avenue

Richmond, California (December 16, 2020) – A 60-year-old male pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Tuesday night in Richmond, the CHP said.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 5:25 p.m., on December 15, on Richmond Parkway, just south of Pittsburg Avenue.
According to the authorities, the pedestrian was crossing from the center divider to the sidewalk, directly in front of the Toyota Tacoma.
Unfortunately, the driver of the Toyota was reportedly unable to avoid the man and eventually struck him in the number 2 lane of Richmond Parkway.

The 60-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
