Ricardo Trujillo Among 3 Killed in 2-Car Accident on Central Valley Highway and Fresno Avenue in Shafter

Shafter, California (April 25, 2021) – Ricardo Antonio Trujillo Acosta Jr., 19, of Wasco, was among three people who were killed Tuesday evening in a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Shafter.
The deadly accident happened around 4:42 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, at the intersection of Central Valley Highway and Fresno Avenue.
The authorities said a 2009 BMW 328i was heading southbound on Central Valley Highway when, for unknown reasons, it collided with a Chrysler Aspen that was traveling westbound.
Acosta Jr. and the other driver, Suzette Lean Dobbs, 79, of Shafter, were transported to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
A passenger in Acosta Jr.’s vehicle died at the scene of the accident.
It is undetermined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
