Shafter, California (April 24, 2021) – Javier Mora Jr., 19, of Wasco, was among three people who died following a Tuesday evening car crash in Shafter.
The deadly accident happened around 4:42 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, at the intersection of Central Valley Highway and Fresno Avenue.
According to the authorities, a 2009 BMW 328i was heading southbound on Central Valley Highway when, for unknown reasons, it collided with a Chrysler Aspen that was traveling westbound.
Mora Jr., who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was pronounced dead.
Both drivers were taken to a hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries.
It is undetermined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
