Modesto, California (April 2, 2019) – A Patterson teen was among several people injured when two vehicles collided in Modesto Sunday afternoon, according to a local news source.

Reyna Zamora, 18, was a passenger in one of the vehicles at the time the collision that happened on Grayson Road near Vivian Road at about 1:30 p.m. March 31.

CHP said a 1994 Mazda B4000 traveling northbound on Vivian Road crashed into the driver’s side of a 2008 Saturn Outlook that was heading west on Grayson Road. The impact caused the Mazda to overturn while the Saturn traveled off the side of the roadway and slammed into a metal fence.

Zamora was a passenger in the Mazda. She was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento for treatment of major injuries. The other three occupants of the Mazda and the three occupants of the Saturn were taken to hospitals for treatment of minor-to-major injuries.

The driver of the Mazda was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

The crash remains under investigation.
