Rider Killed in Redding Motorcycle Accident on Airport Road near Rancho Road

Redding, California (August 24, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic collision with a vehicle on Friday morning in Redding, according to the authorities.
The collision happened just before noon on Friday, August 23, on Airport Road near Rancho Road.
Police said a motorcycle rider collided with a Ford pickup truck on Airport Road. The impact caused the pickup truck to catch fire.

The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
