Santa Barbara County, California (October 27, 2019) –34-year-old Rebecca Vanessa Goss Bley has been identified as one of the three victims killed in a fiery traffic collision involving multiple vehicles in Santa Barbara County on Friday evening, according to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office. 

The fatal collision, which happened at around 4:30 p.m. on October 25, occurred between the 154 bridge and Stage Coach Road. 

As per the California Highway Patrol, Goss Bley and two children riding in a Chevy Volt were hit by a Chevy Camaro that crossed into oncoming traffic. Due to the impact, the Chevy spun out and hit a GMC Yukon that was close behind. Two of the three cars involved caught fire, causing a two-acre brush fire. 

34-Year-Old Rebecca Goss Bley Killed in Santa Barbara Multi-Vehicle Accident 

Goss Bley and the two children were pronounced dead at the scene. The names of the two kids have not yet been released to this time.

A father and teenage son in the Yukon were not hurt in the wreck. 

The operator of the Chevy Camaro, who was identified as John Roderick Dungan, sustained life-threatening injuries following the wreck. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment. 

The CHP is investigating to identify the cause of the fatal crash.
