Raymundo Ortiz-Sanchez Arrested after Apple Valley Crash on Highway 18 and Rancherias Road

Apple Valley, California (September 23, 2019) – Raymundo Ortiz-Sanchez, 44, of Apple Valley, was arrested following a suspected DUI accident that left several people injured on Saturday night in Apple Valley, according to a local news source.
The crash happened shortly after 9:00 p.m. September 21, at Highway 18 and Rancherias Road.
According to the news source, a silver Toyota minivan, a gray Nissan Z, a white Yukon and a black Nissan Xterra were involved in the collision.
Ortiz-Sanchez, who was driving the Yukon, was traveling eastbound on Highway 18 when he ran a red light at the intersection and collided with the Nissan, which was stopped at the light. The impact pushed the Nissan into the Toyota minivan.
The Nissan also collided head-on with the Xterra.

The three occupants of the Toyota and the driver of the Nissan were taken to St. Mary Hospital for treatment.
Ortiz-Sanchez was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol..
The crash is under investigation.
