Raquel Asperas ID’d as Woman Killed in Simi Valley Pedestrian Accident at Studio Movie Grill on Simi Town Center Way
Simi Valley, California (January 18, 2019) – The woman who died after being hit by a vehicle at the Studio Movie Grill parking lot in Simi Valley on Monday evening has been identified as Raquel Lantin Asperas, 64, of Simi Valley.
The incident was reported at about 6:15 p.m. January 14 at the movie theater located at 1555 Simi Town Center Way.
Police said Asperas was walking in the parking lot when she was struck by an SUV driven by a man in his 50s.
Asperas sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased at 1:55 p.m. Thursday, January 17.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene.
Police said alcohol and drugs were unlikely factors in the accident.
The crash is under investigation.
