50-Year-Old Agustin Gutierrez Killed in Rancho Cordova Car Accident on Highway 50 near Sunrise Boulevard

Rancho Cordova, California (January 6, 2021) – The Sacramento County Sheriff-Coroner has identified 50-year-old Agustin Gutierrez as the Citrus Heights man who died following a traffic collision that occurred on a highway in Rancho Cordova Sunday evening.
Two sedans crashed on eastbound Highway 50 at the Sunrise Boulevard off-ramp just around 6:20 p.m.
Due to the impact, the two automobiles swerved roughly 50 to 70 feet off the highway.

Gutierrez, who was one of the parties involved in the mishap, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another victim was hospitalized at Mercy San Juan Medical Center with major injuries.
The wreck resulted in the closure of the left lane of the off-ramp for an unknown time.
The accident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
