Two Drivers Injured in Ramona Head-On Crash on San Vicente Road near Gem Lane
Ramona, California (June 20, 2019) – Two drivers were injured in a head-on collision on Tuesday evening in Ramona, according to the CHP.
The wreck happened at about 7:20 p.m. June 18, on San Vicente Road south of Gem Lane.
CHP said a 17-year-old Ramona boy was driving a Toyota Prius northbound on San Vicente Road when he, for unknown reasons, drifted to the right side of the road. The driver then over-corrected while swerving to the left and drifted across the solid yellow lines into the southbound lane.
Two Injured in Ramona Traffic Crash
The Toyota collided head-on with an oncoming Ford Escape driven by a 35-year-old man from Ramona.
The two drivers, who were the only occupants of their vehicles, were treated for minor injuries by the paramedics.
CHP said both drivers had their seatbelts on at the time of the collision.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
